Trezor Suite | Understanding Multi-Coin Account Organization

Explore understanding Multi-Coin Account Organization in Trezor Suite. An independent overview of the companion app and its hardware wallet workflow.

The main features, walked through

Trezor Suite bundles a fairly wide set of capabilities. Here are the ones most people actually use, and what each is for.

Portfolio dashboard

The dashboard is the first thing you see. It aggregates the balances of every account you've added, converts them into a fiat currency of your choice, and shows a simple performance chart over time. It's a read-only overview — nothing here moves money — but it's the fastest way to get a sense of what you're holding across different coins.

Sending and receiving

Receiving is deliberately careful: the app generates a fresh address and asks you to confirm it on the device screen before you rely on it. Verifying the address on the hardware display protects against malware that might try to swap in an attacker's address on the computer. Sending walks you through choosing an account, entering a destination and amount, selecting a fee level, and then confirming every detail on the device before signing.

Multi-coin account management

A single Trezor device can hold many different cryptocurrencies. Trezor Suite lets you add and label separate accounts, hide the ones you don't want cluttering the view, and see them organized in one place. Support for tokens (such as ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum) is included, so you're not limited to a handful of major coins.

Built-in exchange and buy/sell

Suite integrates third-party services that let you buy, sell, or swap crypto without leaving the app. These are provided by outside partners rather than by the wallet itself, so they come with their own fees and identity-verification requirements. They're a convenience, not a core function — you can ignore them entirely and just use Suite as a wallet.

Coin control and labeling

For Bitcoin especially, Suite offers "coin control," which lets advanced users choose exactly which unspent outputs to spend from. Paired with labeling, this gives privacy-conscious users fine-grained control over how their transactions are constructed.

Free to use

The software costs nothing; you only pay for the hardware device.

Cross-platform

Desktop builds for Windows, macOS, and Linux, plus a web version.

Multi-currency

Manage Bitcoin, Ethereum, and many other coins and tokens in one place.

Open development

SatoshiLabs develops the software openly, so the code can be reviewed publicly.
